LND 150 Fx-loop Gerber files

Post by Mattfugate74 »

Ready to print and have tested. I sent a batch over to jlpcb without issues.
(its very similar to the Freidman and Metroamp Loop.)

Hey Thanks for posting I was going to try this out, do you have a schematic or a parts stuffing list for like r1 values etc..

Hi,

Can you share the schematic and components values?

Thanks!

The schematic maybe similar to this one.

That poster hasn't been seen in 5 years... Nice to share the Gerber file, but useless without component values.

Here's one I found online that is supposedly like the current Friedman loop, possibly:
MOSFET Loop Schem.gif
Instead of a Source Follower, the buffer is a regular MOSFET gain stage with local negative feedback. I haven't spent time testing the difference, but I would venture that since this cancels out the phase reversal of the "usual" design (both stage are inverting so the output is in phase with the input), it APPEARS to be more transparent when flipping the bypass switch on and off. I have half a dozen amps with this design or a variation thereof and it works well.

There are variations with and without C4 and R4. There shouldn't be any DC on the output, but C4 makes sure of that. And R4 avoids ground loops.

It's possible R11 is supposed to be lower than that. I may have changed it here because I usually run a post-loop Master right after the loop (before the bypass switch). I think the original Metro one had an R1 of 2M2 as well.
I also put 1W drain resistors... I like bigger resistors there. You can totally get away with 1/2W.

I've whipped up my own PCB layout for it, based on my favorite components, but haven't tested it yet so won't share until I'm ready.

A quick look tells me the OP's layout is a different circuit. Seems to use self bias for the MOSFET Source Follower that is used as a buffer while the one you linked is fixed bias. So alas, probably can't use that to figure out the values in OP's loop.
