custom size amp cover services

Post by pjd3 »

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has had good luck finding a decent amp cover service.

The dimensions to my new amp were subject to change during the making of the cabinet.

Thanks,

Best,
Phil D.

Yes, I've used TukiCovers.com. Great stuff, reasonably priced. Tell them the dimensions, and they create a custom cover to your spec. They keep the data around for a few years. Look, it's custom Monkeymatic amp covers!: https://www.tukicovers.com/amp-speaker- ... onkeymatic
I build and repair tube amps. https://www.monkeymatic.com

Thanks, Xtian !!

That is perfect, shows angles for faceplate, speaker baffle incline, exact handle size and location, and the rest.

This is exactly what I'm looking for!

Thank you so much,
Best,
Phil D

I've used Studio Slips. They make a good product.

Cover Amp in Ontario has done a few custom covers for me (https://www.coveramp.com/). Pierre and Nancy are a true Mom & Pop shop and prices are more than reasonable. If they still ship to the US....

Rigg Covers are made in WI and very well made, very price competitive. (https://rigg.us/custom-amp-cover-quote/).

I've had bad results from Tuki, who used to be my go-to.
Never dealt with Studio Slips, but their products looks great.

Thats too bad jabguit.

I like thier website and how clear and accessible it is to find the amp shape type and then input the measurements into the fields which I found where very understandable and well laid out.

But what good is that if the fluff inside the cover starts to "Unfluff and fly" after a bit of time.

I'll take a look at Studio Slips and the others.

Thank you,
Phil D.

I highly recommend Studio Slips. I have a little Boss Acoustic Singer Live and the cab is slanted overall and has a slanted control panel, sot just a L x W x H and call it good scenario. I provided them with a detailed drawing (it helps that I have tools to measure and software to do the model and drawing) and they delivered a cover that fits like a glove. It's a clamshell design that zips around the face and bottoms of the sides. I'll try to upload a picture tomorrow.

Thanks Chordball,

I have been hearing good things about them and they kind off stole my attention from Tuki Covers. I like the Tuki website and the layouts to dimension your amp for a cover but, just hear better things about Studio Slips.

After a 35 concert summer of gigs I'm on a 3-week break so, gigs will be starting up again next weekend and the "dings and dents" will be coming to my new all tube stereo guitar amp no matter how careful I try to be. And I "will" kick my butt if the amp cab gets too dinged. it looks great because it is shou sugi ban good grain premium pine with nice Red Empire General Finishes Dye/Stain but, it's finished with Lacquer and between the pine and lacquer it dings pretty easily.

So many things to do but, so much time and effort into that amp, I need to protect it or there will be regrets.

Thanks, man.
