Passive guitar signal pad circuit
Hello everyone. I’m trying to find a simple circuit scheme that would allow me to attenuate a guitar signal before going into an audio interface. The problem I’m trying to fix is a design shortcoming in a Presonus audio interface where even a passive guitar plugged directly into the instrument input...

Re: Antek Transformers
I also bought a smaller one a while back that has a 260VAC secondary, with intentions of doing Martin Manning’s compact Dumbleator build. It looks like it’s going to fit in the case that Martin used. I may have to put some larger feet on the box to get past the bottom of the bolt.

Re: Antek Transformers
It comes with mounting hardware. A bolt, washer, nut, (2) rubber isolation disks and a metal disk to compress and hold in place.

Antek Transformers
Can someone explain a couple things about these transformers? https://www.antekinc.com/content/AS-1T300.pdf I don't understand why there are multiple primary and secondaries with the same values (2 x 115V primaries, 2 x 300v, 2 x 6.3V) I have a couple of these in my parts box, and was wondering if t...

Re: Airbrake Files
Thanks. I’m thinking for regular jamming in rehearsal type situations that 6 to 9DB attenuation would be all I would need. However, for night time practice, I would like to have double that available to me. So if I’m understanding correctly, to modify what I have to what you suggested, I would need ...

Re: Airbrake Files
Thanks. Yesterday, I built per the scheme, and it works, but degrades tone a little as attenuation is increased. I’m wondering if I can reuse some of the parts to build the “M” or “M2” attenuator on the Marshall forums. I’m still reading that long forum thread. Not sure if the “M2” is improved over ...

Re: Airbrake Files
Good morning. I have a question about the adjustable 100W resistors for the Airbrake III. at the beginning of this thread there are both a scheme and layout attached. The layout shows to set terminals on R2 at 6 Ohms, 11 Ohms, and 16 Ohms. whereas the scheme shows resistance values 4, 5, 10, and 6. ...

I'm in on a gift movement. Money always helps situations like that.ToneMerc wrote:Not the best news, but it is positive!, he's on this side of the dirt and the fact that he could recognize us and feel that we care about him, had to uplift both their spirits.
Any thoughts on pitching in on some type of gift?
