Re: Cap across PT Secondary..
HAD placed .01uF caps in parallel to his rectifier diodes on ODS 183. How that benefits noise over good lead dress and such is above my pay grade, but check that SCH/Layout in the Dumble Files section if you like.

What's everyone's favorite Thai dish? Since we have to go to the big city of Springfield. We're gonna a go by a Thai restaurant we like. I'm thinking pad thai. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-uscellular-us-revc&sca_esv=3cfb034d87db37ea&sxsrf=ACQVn0-GIZvQdEtmG8Y3BnJP9hlnHbMFdg%3A1706...

Re: Anyone tried stem cell therapy?
What is a two week water fast? A two-week water fast is a two-week period where your intake consists of water only. It promotes a lot of things, good and bad. If you can accomplish a state of ketosis, you'll lose a lot of stored fat. But mostly, starvation weight loss comes mainly from muscle diges...

Re: Anyone tried stem cell therapy?
That sounds like a horror movie. How long ago was that? An infection can happen with any surgery but thats very concerning. I've actually dealt with a neurological specialist from Colombia and his team and I was highly impressed. It happened over the last two years or so, starting in 2022. Brutal. ...

Re: Anyone tried stem cell therapy?
I had an employee go to Mexico for a stomach restriction surgery, he came back with an infection that put him in a wheel chair and took 18 months to walk normally again. The infection ate part of his cervical vertebrae. I know it's not the same type of treatment. Stem cell therapy is fascinating on ...

Re: What's for supper?
I don't think I've tried an in and out burger. I really need to diversify my pallet but I'll bet the Pomona burger has been dead a shorter amount of time. The lettuce too 4x3 Animal Protein syle? LOL. So I'm just a customer, but In N Out beef is never frozen, so that's some brand new beef. They onl...

Re: What's for supper?
I went to the new In N Out in town last night. It broke their corporate record at 10,000 burgers sold. It's been a few weeks now and the hype has normalized. The initial drive-thru wait-time on opening day was 8 hours at the peak. It's good, but not that good. I rolled up and ordered my favorite: A ...

Re: What's for supper?
I had some boneless buffalo wings while watching the Niners win out against the Lions. SF is my home team, but it would have been good to see Detroit go to the Super Bowl. Coach will be kicking himself for turning the ball over on downs instead of kicking the field goal. That and the fumble lost the...

Re: SSS #002 REDRAW DRAFT
No and yes. JFET's are not known for consistency, so the source resistor is selected to get the desired operating point. The 2N3823 model in the sim required a 5k9 to more or less center the operating point, and it is likely some kind of average representation of that part. Some might prefer a hott...

Re: SSS #002 REDRAW DRAFT
I noticed the Colgan layout has an 8K2 off the FET source lead, whereas the other schematic had a 2K7. This is the FET bias resistor, correct? I imagine this is where you could put a 2K7 in series with a trim pot to adjust that, right? Or find the desired value and swap, but my point is: is the 8K2 ...

Re: SSS #002 REDRAW DRAFT
Thanks, Martin and Erwin. Looks great. NOTE: I have a growing list of questions: 1) The Reverb Driver cathode resistor and Reverb Send/Recovery plate load resistors are 2W parts. Why is that? 2) The power supply in the layout uses a dual section 33/33uF cap in parallel for 66 uF supply for the scree...

Re: SSS #002 REDRAW DRAFT
I see both SSS002 layouts I've seen disagree on which side sends and recovers reverb. Which layout should be the benchmark? I'm assuming Ryan's layout is the reference. What other layout is there? One other "layout" I can think of would be Erwin's PCB's. The "Layout by Aaron" in the Dumble files se...
