Re: F*cking clients

Re: 5E3 clean headroom
you can play humbuckers like old style pafs, which have less output and not so mid heavy like modern ones, but you still need to adjust guitar volume and play with the amp 2 volumes, once you turn up the unplugged channel it can clean up a bit. Anyway,it's an old debate, many think that it's the volume ...

Re: Sporadic relay failure anyone?
if the controller has not enough current to drive the relay directly it is really possible to have malfunctioning.
In my experience it is always better to activate the relay via a transistor or fet, which is turned on by the controller.

Re: Benson Monarch
I haven't measured voltages yet, but this is for anyone who needs a schematic for repairs or servicing. And the Dizzy Bird reverb unit. Thanks, Aaron looking at the Monarch schematic,if you bring down to zero the reverb pot you get zero volume,i guess there should be a resistor in line. The Vinny m...

Use a lamp bulb in series with primary, secondaries disconnected, you can't get any conclusions with an ohm meter.

Re: Philips MKT capacitors?
Hi! Marshall-fever hit me big time a while ago and I see no other cure for it than build me one. I have plenty of these 22nf Philips MKT caps and I was thinking about using them🤔 It’s gonna be late JMP 2204/early JCM800 —type circuit and what I’ve read that those yellow box caps were MKT-type and m...
