Hi Mark
How did you get on with this?
Did you try the Ceriatone 'early' circuit? or the 'standard' circuit? or some hybrid of the two?
He who dies with the most tubes... wins
Re: Effect Pedal building
Pete,
Standard version but I still have one last kit to wire and I should try try the brighter gainier early version for that last kit.
I like the klon kit very smooth and useful addition to the pedal board.

Re: Effect Pedal building
I haven't been building many FX, but needed a delay/Reverb pedal for myself and the Revok was born.
I usually etch myself, but just couldn't bring myself to do it this round. i love the result, but hate the process/mess.
Luckily my local trophy shop only charged me $8 for this one and it looks pretty good to me.
boards are 1776 rub a dub and echoplex jr.

Re: Effect Pedal building
Very cool and thanks for sharing. I like your layout and graphic. I am gonna build myself a couple of analog delays (separate pedals though).

CNC is up and running, so no more hand etching. We are doing our own line as well as another line for a business partner across town.

Re: Effect Pedal building
They look great!
It's a bug/feature of the boards, they show fine when you load them. They're fine when you click on them and expand them.

Nice looking pedals guys.
Re: Effect Pedal building
I re-purpose everything I can.
1. A/B/Y in a wax can.
2. Pedal Car...Orman Clean boost in diecast car with leds in headlights.
3. Prince Albert...Orange squeezer for shoulder strap mounting ala Billy Gibbons.
4. My favorite "Clown Tone"...Dallas Arbiter Fuzzface in a 50s candy tin. His nose is led.

I used the footswitches with LED rings for OD and PAB on my D-style build. Very cool!

Re: Effect Pedal building
That's a really nice setup there. I have been eyeballing those switches for that very application. Do you find them well made and rugged enough for the job? I'm going to mount them on a black powder coated 1590-something box.xtian wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 12:40 am I used the footswitches with LED rings for OD and PAB on my D-style build. Very cool!

Please tell me about the pedal that you used those switches on.
Is the foot rocker used for wah, gain... or something else?
Re: Effect Pedal building
Yes, the switches seem very sturdy. My design is...not very sturdy: 1/4" birch plywood, and I simply put a thick layer of hot glue on the back of the footswitches to serve as rubber feet. I'll step on it gently.
The pedal is just a Line 6 10K expression pedal, which I'm using with my Helix to tweak the feedback and level of an analog delay model. With toe down, I get all the feedbacks of a nice bucket-brigade echo. Ha. The sound man always thinks it's his problem, the feedback, but secretly it's me.
Friday night is my first gig with my new Bluesmaster ODS build, using four-cable method with Helix providing all the stomps. SO many tonal options!
