I've never used this opt in a 18watt marahall
I've used most others MM heyboer classic tone
I'm planning to build a few 18watters and hammond d
Unbelievably is the best priced, anyone used these?
How do they compare specs are 8.4k I'm used to seeing
8k? There listed as drip in replacements. Mark

They will sound just as good as any of the others, but for like 1.5 less output watts due to the higher impeadance.

I’ve used several of them in different builds, some with EL84 some 6V6 and ECL82. All worked out great. Good little 18 watt transformer.

I have used it in two builds (a 2204 circuit with dual 6V6, and a channel switching high gainer, also dual 6V6). Great OT, both amps can get loud and sound great.
The reason it's rated 8.4K is that original 18W OT actually had 3, 7 and 15 ohms outputs, not 4, 8 and 16. So with a 16ohm load connected, the primary was actually 8.4k, not 8k.
