I came to Savannah to show and see guitars at Billy's. We ended up downtown at his blues club and at some point Eric Culberson wants to take a walk down the block to show me something. There was a building rented out as practice spaces for two bands. GAM was the other band. I think this was 1990.
Keith seemed normal. I would soon find out he was not normal. Keith was extraordinary.
Gentle person. Artistic. Kind. Enjoyable to know, see, work with, laugh about. There was nothing about him to avoid. I can't recall a single crossed word about one person.. or maybe even a thing from him.
So, a couple of days ago we lost Keith.
I can truly say there will never be a thing that fills his space.
