I wish i liked it but its awful. Probably could get more money out of that thing than something made out of quality hardwood with a nice finish. I mean the guy does ok work I sure wouldn't go about producing the joinery marking one post at a time then cutting with a skill saw. Guess he likes to work hard. I'm probably just jealous.

The new thing is making $35,000 out of what's left.

Seems crazily overbuilt for a platform to roll out pie crust on. Plus then he puts that yucky brown finish on it that makes it impossible to see it’s actual old wood.

Yeah that stain should definitely have a name like "skidmark" or something. Definitely not flattering...
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Stop it! Nobody needs your enthusiasm or a bigger workshop.. although 600 square feet of extra space would be nice.. and a new bandsaw.
Make it 800'.

I'm going to make some stuff out of old railroad ties and advertise as a rustic end table made out of 300yr old wood reclaimed from hiltlers barn

No reason to lie. Railroad tie table. Material sourced from the historic Chicago Great Western's main line between Des Moines-Kansas City (removed by Chicago & North Western in 1985 following its acquisition of Rock Island's nearby "Spine Line")

I made the mistake of clicking on the youtube. It was like a traffic accident. I wanted to look away but just couldn't. Really though, a squandered opportunity...those panels could have been something really nice, like book matched walnut to contrast with the pine or cedar or whatever it is.

No barnwood for my builds. I'm into tablewood!
