Steve Hackett concert
Saw said Mr. Hackett last night at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, NH. He's doing his Genesis Revisited tour playing only Genesis material from 1970 -76 period.
Very good show with an excellent drummer and keyboard player making a huge difference as with eyes closed it certainly sounded like the original group ( saw them 4 times, 2 Gabriel, 2 Collins, and 1 Bill Bruford too!)
Singer was ok crossing from Gabriel to Collins was not easy as were some of Gabriels higher parts, but overall was enjoyable.
Steve sounded great on his electric as well as nylon string and 12 string guitars. 2 Marshall heads each driving a 4 x 12 angled cab. Fernandes LP with Kahler/Floyd trem. Bunches of pedals...no EMS Synth Hi-Fly though or H&H amps.
See him if so inclined you'll definitely enjoy it if a Genesis fan.

Frank Drebin...LOL!!
Yeah it was mixed perfect and nothing was too loud just right, all bands should sound this good.

Wow, wish I could've seen that show. Some great music there.
Getting the sound right is huge. I used to live in Houston and would go to the Toyota Center not infrequently to see concerts. I saw Tool and Foo Fighters there and the mix was perfect. Comfortably loud, but clear. Great shows. Then I saw Van Halen with David Lee Roth, a week after the Foo Fighters show in fact. Totally looked forward to that show. The sound was an absolute atonal, muddy roar. Sofa king loud you had to work to identify the song at first. That show cost more than the other two for the same seats. Huge let down.

SET LIST. Wow. I'm sure I would be wishing the singer would fall sick, and they'd ask me to fill in. Those are MY nursery rhymes! "Giant. Hogweed. ISA--VENGED!!!"

Yes to all aforementioned bands, even Styx! I remember rocking Grand Illusion, Pieces of Eight, on vinyl.
Better include Rush in the list too.

NICE!!
Glad to see a high quality show being done in my old "back yard".
I saw my last show there in 1979. Aerosmith's tour "warm up" gig with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay on guitars. Disappointing was an understatement. I smoked a few cigarettes with Tyler's mom out the backstage door though which was kind of cool...but kind of weird...at the same time.
Thanks for sharing that mate!

The place is beautiful now, all redone and super clean. Nice sound as well. Much better than the Palace Theatre in Manch-Vegas. Which only has lame shows there.
I have a former bandmate who lives in Newbury NH and has a boat on Lake Sunapee. He took around the lake last summer with a nice tour of Tylers place there. Yeah that could work for me...LOL!!
