The Tobacco Tele was my main gigging axe for several recent years. Big fat neck on it.

Before that it was the Schecter Strat (not a kit guitar, it was made in U.S.A. by Schecter).

The Black Tele has a 24.75" scale neck.

The Butterscotch Tele never leaves the house.

She's suffered the all the abuses of my youth, but still my #1. Ordered by my parents as a Christmas gift in 1973, didn't receive it until 1974.

It's a bit heavier and thicker than your average Strat.

Fret's were almost flat by 1980, so it was re-fretted around 1980 with jumbo frets, which probably kept the fingerboard in shape, with .011's, the strings don't touch the fingerboard, almost a scalloped feel.

Nice Lefty,
Looks pretty good - thought I should mention it's upside down & backwards.
:P
Nick - you're Teles look strangely familiar.
They may be cheating on both of us.
My butterscotch never leaves the house either... Hmmm.
I'll post some pics tomorrow.

1969 Strat, 1968 ES-345. I put a stop tailpiece on and gutted the Vari-Tone. That guitar has been through hell, but sounds great

Here is my 76 paul stamped in side, serial number says 77 or 78
[IMG:553:737]http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r63/ ... e40628.jpg[/img]

maple 3 piece neck , sandwich body ,new shaller tuners, paf from a 69 gt, new gibson (90's) soapebar, brass nut. The neck is sanded down and oiled, heavy as hell. Installed new frets when i bought it over 20 years ago. Yes It's from the bad years of gibson, the neck and bridge is of  but It's my #1 and i never part whit it. Don't have the bigsby installed now, lost some sustain and I don't like that. p-90 and maple neck can get you some fender like tones, and the paf is cool. The paf is not to hot, but I don't like hot pickups, think they sound like sandpiper in my ears. Yes I have made some mods to this guitar not CUSTOM but DIY
edit: and yes It's for Rock N Roll
I'll tell you all my secrets, but I lie about my past.

Thanks Greg and Miles.

The pinup I stole from a website, printed on waterslide paper and sprayed a little tinted lacquer over it.
I'll see if I can find the site.

It was called Relic Deluxe and appears to be no more.
