Bubba Ho-Tep (Bruce Campbell)
Donnie Darko
Mulholland Drive
Inception (not the life-changer some have claimed, but very good)

Also - check out a band called "Here Come the Mummies" - Hot, horn-driven funk with rather naughty lyrics.

Ooh - I remember that!

H.O.T.S was similar (and the only other genre title I recall)

Kentucky Fried Movie and Groove Tube (double feature)
Young Doctors in Love (a young Sean Young!)
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (pure cinematic Velveeta)
Serial Mom

Pulp Fiction. If ever there was a film to perfectly illustrate the description 'black comedy' then that would be it.

Nicely put, Mr. Root!

I was going to mention The Big Sleep, what with Martha Vicker's performance! I've heard her performance was so steamy that much of it got edited to the cutting floor! And to think, she was married to Mickey Rooney...

I like to put in a harry potter or one of those pirates of the Caribbean things,
I flop out on the couch and make it thru maybe 5 or 10 minutes....
and the next time I open my eyes the credits are rolling and feel much better.

I saw this "Moon" movie a little while back that was pretty good.
But lately it been all Japanese, Korean horror movies.

The Great Orgazmo

and any thing directed by Luc Besson has a killer sound track.
