Re: A reminder from Freddy Kilowatt
Interesting...
I can't remember having seen something like that but I remember having plugged a fork, whose middle teeth I bent so it matches the plug, in the wall at those times...
(luckily we were living in a brand new flat, whose electrical circuit was up to date!)
Now I don't need reminders anymore...

Don't call me Freddy!
Re: A reminder from Freddy Kilowatt
When I was four I stuck a knife into the hot side of an outlet. That's what my parents said. I don't remember, but I do remember dreams of Freddy Kilowatt chasing and throwing lightning bolts at me.ChopSauce wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 10:39 am Interesting...

The name is Reddy, not Freddy.
Re: A reminder from Freddy Kilowatt
So true. Reddy it was. Lo side memory failure.

Easy to do. All us old farts knew who you were talking about anyway. I know a lot of people named Freddy, but only one named Reddy. If you google him you can even find some of the B&W tv commercials.

I suspect many young children, boys in particular, lick the electric outlets, or lick their fingers before touching the outlets, just because they can and don't know better. Some enjoy the tingle and repeat. Others learn a lesson they never forget. I'm not saying which one I am. Hint, I didn't forget.

Re: A reminder from Freddy Kilowatt
My brother once bent a pipe cleaner in half and pushed it into the wall socket. He was screaming there until my mom, who was smart, knocked him away on purpose really hard. She got a bit of a jolt too but knew better than to grab him.
he burned his fingers a bit... and the white pipe cleaner was black
