Hey 9pins where are you at?
Cool stuff-Denny's a great player, overshadowed by
Lenny of course, but that's good playing by all those guys.
Thanks-
George

up here in Maine, Jp has played 30 years on the bluegrass and country circuit Denny is local, I get to run him again in July I think, I run in to him around about,
Jp has played with Merl T, Doc W, the opry, Chet style and fast blow yer socks off country picking the Elliot Bros are long time circuit boys too, used to open for Waylon, I heard some talk of Alabama,

Been a great week, I got one more show, its great to handle artist with some depth, good audiences for the most part too.

Dennies folks was Lone Pine and Betty Cody, with growing radio and recording careers in the late 40's and early 50's, used to be Lone pine and his Moutaineers, RCA Victor, western songs and ballads,
old school entertainment.

Thanks man, I'll check your links.
I found a bunch of stuff on utube I'll look at also.
I know of Lone Pine and Betty.
I'm in eastern MA, outside Boston. Nice to see good
playing around.
Many very talented players in this area, and no venues
available. Sunday afternoon geezer jams are about it.
Oh well, keep on pickin.
Added:
Checked the vids. That JP guy can play!
Nice man, too bad he's getting out of playing.
Thanks for exposing me to him.

So Denny Breau is Lenny Breau's brother? I didn't know he had a brother? I'm a huge fan of Lenny's and not just by proximity of the fact that I love Chet Atkins and the set of pickers that he associates himself with. Lenny was a unique player with a natural talent that rivals any other player from the last 100+ years..

Denny plays pretty damn well himself, if not in the same style as Lenny,
who was I agree, singular.
I saw Lenny and Tal Farlow back in the early 80s up at Lenny's on the Turnpike in Beverly MA.
Low key guys, great playing.
RIP both.

Thanks-always happy to find out about new players.
