$%^& google - can't zoom anymore? picasa obsolete??? wtf! google photos now??? forced to use useless google+! two separate interchangeable apps at once with files interlinked??? three with google+? good god! i know it's free but why make me chase my tail. evil masons toying w/ me. #$%^ google.

if this is open and not limited please let me know. i tested in TOR and seems my account settings are closed, just my TAG tag, and it's set for view this album only.

Taking a closer look at the photos that you posted, I think the neon bulb is not used as a DC level shift (see my post above) but it's there to clamp the grid-to-cathode voltage - to protect the tube during initial power on, since it is direct-coupled to the first stage. So it is not really in the signal path and should not impact the sound during normal operation.
