Brown Note D'Lite 22 (First Build w/Pix)
I have recently joined here in preparation for my D'Lite 22 build. I have read quite a bit and I think it helped.
My D'Lite 22 up first time today with no issues, no smoke, sounded great and little noise. I was extremely pleased with my FIRST BUILD!
Documented build here ... (HEAVY PIX WARNING!)

Later in the week ... there will be clips.
I highly recommend the process. The support from both Brown Note and the guys on their forum was outstanding! Thanks for what learned here, as well.

Nice build, I'm about to start mine so hope to do as well
Re: Brown Note D'Lite 22 (First Build w/Pix)
I was so intent on getting the thing built without a big smoke show, that I found myself suprised today ... hey I get to play this thing. Set it up in my little home studio and just played for a couple of hours. Sweet ... and I understand it gets better with about 40 hours of playing.
I really appreciate the guys here and at Brown Note forum. Although, I did the research and prepared well, there's just no substitute for people who have "done it" being there to guide me ... answer the dumb questions. I had many of those.
I learned a great deal in the process, as well. Outstanding experience. I can definitely see why people might do more than one. My son (a guitarist) played it a while today, as well. Who knows?
But even though I was careful, I was really expecting more excitement when I through those switches today. I imagine most of you know the feeling ... especially the first one.

Sounds real sweet. Not much familiar with what to expect with the Washburn but I don't hear anything to be too worred about. Of course it never ends does it.

that's awesome! I listened to your clips on the brownnote forum, really sweet. I'll have to ask Mike if I could maybe come over some day and try her out? If you wouldn't mind?

Are you my son's friend Andy? He mentioned you might be building an amp.

Legend 10516 2x10 in parallel for 8 ohms ... they are only $45/each but I'm really liking them. Actually my Boogie amp is sounding pretty good through them too. They came with a 2x10 cabinet that I had built as the stock 10s ... ended up liking them.heisthl wrote:which eminence 10s? RamRod, Ragin Cajin or legacy? nice low end for 10s

My first real clip with this new amp ... cleans are my G&L Legacy (right) ... OD channel is Lollar P90s riding in my Washburn Gold Top WI66 (left) ... both with Eminence 10516 2x10 sealed cabinet

Great playing and great sounding amp!

Sounds great. Nice touch on the playing, really brings out the dynamics.
I'm surprised at how good it sounds with these Emi 10's. I haven't found a 10 that any of my Dumble style amps sound good with. I'm looking for speakers for my Super to mix with the Alnico's, this might just be the ticket.
