FET Input

How is the FET input installed in an ODS? I have the schematic from Schematicheaven. Does the "Signal in go directly to an input jack? "signal out" to V1 Pin2?

Use a shorting jack or stereo switching jack, Signal goes in the FET input, then out to the "Shorting" part of the normal input so that when nothing is plugged into the NOR jack the signal is FET by default.
