Engl Screamer tone from a dumble clone?

Post by Normster »

Every time I hear Marin at thegearpage post a clip with his Engl I just drool. It's got this chewy top end that's too cool. Anyway, I tried to cop that quality in this clip. It's not quite as bright as the Engl, but I think with a different guitar and a bit of tone knob twisting, I could nail it. :)

wow! I've never heard an engl amp but I know the amps your refering to.
I'm impressed with the tone and playing on your clip and hope I can build something near as good as yours.

Thanks, Bob. I love the tone of this amp...maybe a little too much. I spend all my free time playing instead of tweaking. ;) Actually, I've got to get off my butt and finish my next build.
