I asked VHT what the resistors were. The guy first said MM and I told him that wasn't a thing and then he said they were carbon oxide.

Oh, they did not try to please anyone but the accountant. I can see they failed, even miserably. These amps made customers very angry.

I don't think they honestly make 25w and if they did it would only be in complete isolation, like it you were manufacturing meth for personal consumption.

You know what did not make my day?

GUESS

I still can't figure out where the signal goes. This amp gets eaten alive by a low B+ JTM, not to mention a BF Deluxe...

Much like the hand-held slotcar controllers that used to burn my hands when toys were dangerous and humanity wasn't dressing up for loser halloween every day of the week.

I have never been in a room with one but based on what I see ( and clips I've heard) that may not be a bad thing. What I don't understand is the positive reviews I see of this amp. Why? Am I missing something?

Yes, Ian. Just like anything else, some people do not know how to evaluate but have an opinion.

It's ok to be a noob. It sucks when you are shilling because you spent a grand and never played a similar thing.

It's like... remember back when the moderators here were nice people who never threatened you and..

I've said too much.

Honestly, even with some fair mods, these amps are basically a cheap headshell you need to jack up and drive another amp under.
