I think one or two showed up in the 183 layout/schematic, but if you go way back in the ampgarage threads I seem to recall they were generally frowned upon and 6PS 600V was preferred.

I thought the 715's might have been used between the PI and the output stage, I suspect they would shine there.

Mark, you need to check the layouts that Tone (Talbany) has been kind enough to put in the files section. Its all there. IMO, there's no need to ask qustions about layout info which is readily available.

Mark, the Bluesmaster amps have 715's in the PI. Good thinking!

While we're talking Bluesmaster, what effect does the BM OD entrance have?

The 470K bypassed with a 47pf in series with the 120K then the 100K trimmer?

I know it's a different animal with the HRM but find that an interesting network to feed the OD with.
