Does anyone have a source for Perfboard?

Post by Allynmey »

I'd like to buy some perfboard for my TW build. I ripped apart my build and am going to make a repro of Francesca for my listening pleasure and personal challenge. Let me know. Thanks,

Last time I checked, Radio Shack and Digikey stocked perfboard that has the holes at .1" centers and .042" in diameter. I believe the Perfboard that Allynmey is looking for has holes spaced at .265" and .092" in diameter. The only maker I have found so far is Thorosen and they don't list it in their current catalog, only reference was NLA. I am going to check tomorrow to see if I can't find a manufacturer that could make it in small runs of 500 pcs. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks guys, Dana...let me know how you make out. I'll buy some to help keep your cost down.

P.S. now all we have to find are those "flea-flicker" turrets. :D

Hi Fellas,

I would be interested also in a few of these boards. What is used for the power supply board?

Small Bear Electronics has flea clips, but unfortunately they are .042 size...

I'll email him and see if he has a source for the larger size.

I might be interested depending on the price per unit. What size is the board?

I have to send them a drawing and hole placement specs, it's whatever size we want it, I'm guessing since a 24"x36" sheet of garrolite is just over $30 that $500 buys a WHOLE BUNCH.

Here is one I found but the dimensions of the board are'nt exactly that good but it may get you through until we can find a supplier with the right size.

Vector Electronics, www.vectorelect.com, or 800.423.5659, has high quality epoxyglass perfboard, i.e. Vectorbord and board pins which look very similar to Francescas, specifically for prototyping. They have some cool rack mount chassis too. I think its kind of expensive stuff. I requested some samples and used them recently for a relay circuit board in a channel switching amp.
