Dr Z said he can no longer get his OD caps he had specially made for him and now uses M150's even in the Zwreck.

Doc also said Sozo caps are rebranded M150's :?:

I have used M150 in Express and Liverpool as well as 6PS and some with PVC but I'm out of those now. Not much difference to me what caps I use.

Hahaha hohoho.

I am going to start rebranding Big Macs. I will also serve them at something higher than room temperature to make them taste like something.

SoZo may be M150 with a yellow Wraparound , I mean rebranded...
I heard about that before... Probably if you buy 100 000 cap, they can even brand your name on it...

And Sozo say: "The Vintage capacitors are made entirely by hand, with no machine automation"
Hummmm.... :?

Need to put these cap under an oscilloscope... I'm really suspicion too about it !

Just imagine what you could sell them for if the tape on the outside was gold.

Though some audiophiles might complain they sound too metallic.

I really hope not, for the sake of their business, for the poor asian bastards that have to roll them and for my sake if I ever use them, last thing I want is handmade caps. I don't think caps even in 1920 where handmade. Here's a real handmade cap:

When Ken was still alive there were no Sozo's and I think F&T's were not as popular as they are now...Would Ken have approved?
We can speculate all we want but I think the correct answer we would never know....we should ask JM what he thinks about those caps. :D

And I have never seen a gut shot of a JM built Trainwreck to see what he is using for parts.

The Sozo thing has been done to death here in many threads. Just take a common sense look at their delivery history, marketing tactics, technical information, and pricing. The situation is obvious. In the past they have had problems delivering certain values, but they make them by hand? So what, they just won't build those values? Much more likely that they can't receive those values from the real manufacturer.

I think Ken would have simply used whatever appropriate stock he had on hand that was purchased for a reasonable price.

Makes one wonder about the methodologies used by the cork sniffers to evaluate the sonic comparisons between cap types in the signal path...

I was under the impression that the 6PS series was what he used.
But I have never peeked inside a TW and stand to be corrected.
