Re: Anybody Check Out the Amp Showcase in Detroit?
It was like Guitar Center, BUT .......Better Gear, better players (older too). and no obnoxious music blaring over the top of it all. No Dumbass Salespunks either! Oh yeah, it was really loud! I was suprised to see Glen Kuykendall there, what a player! The Egnater Rebel was the hit for me. so small...

Re: Underwhelmed by a Boogie cab
1)close the back
2)get a round piece of foam and put it in the middle of the speaker, on the grill. use tape. will work as a beam blocker, but more effective.
try different tubes?
the natural wood is going to be a lot more lively than a tolex covered cabinet.

Re: Channel Switching HELLLP
run the negative end of the relays thru a switching jack to the front panel switches. when you are plugged in with a footswitch in the jack, the front panel controls wont work. when not plugged in the front panel works. simple.

friend put some in his dual rectifier combo. the mica spacers werent large enough, and the tube structure was actually rattling around inside the bottle. made a wonderful thunk when tapping on the tube. kudos to Aspen....
