Linky no worky.

I've got one on my American 70's reissue Strat using Lollar Blackface pickups. It works as advertised. My guess is that it's about 90% as good as noiseless pickups at removing the hum. I like it and it's staying put.

The Hammonds are designed to use a full wave rectifier, not a bridge rectifier. That transformer shouldn't get hot with that tube compliment.

Have you changed that resistor and it burns up the new ones too? If it's the stock one that keeps giving you trouble, replace it with a resistor that has a minimum of a 1 watt rating. The stock one is 1/2 watt and it's pretty common for these to be burned.

If it really is 195VCT, that means it is 97.5 - 0 - 97.5. That means the whole winding is 195 volts center tapped. Measure to know for sure.

They're moving to Flickr. I use Yahoo for my photos too. At least in my case, the email I received indicated that they would be moved for me. Hopefully the Tolex tutorial will move without interruption too.

Sounds like intermodulation distortion. If you play the two notes and bend one up while the other is at its' original pitch, does that octave change as you bend? Intermodulation distortion is present in pretty much all overdriven amps and pedals to varying degrees. It's "normal" as far as that goes....

How well does it work with the Master Volume? Do you lose much tone or overdrive at lower volume settings?
