Re: Trainwreck Anna Real or Clone?

If it doesn't have the flimsey hammond chassis, a cutoff broom stick handle (Dowel) between the trannys and also one in side the chassis with a bolt going through it to help support the trannys than it is definately a clone. Bud chassis not Hammond Yep for some reason I had Hammond on the brain. I ...

Re: Chassis bolts

I feel dumb for asking this, but what's the preferred method for bolting the chassis to the head cab, since you don't have access to the underside of the chassis after it's in the head cab? The holes are through-drilled... I recorded 15 minutes of audio with a PRS Mira, Strat, and old Harmony archt...

Re: VVR guidance in Tweed Champ

What do you measure on the b+ in on the VVR. Also check your ground on the vvr I already have the VVR our of the amp but if mem serves me it was around 501 volts or something close to that. It was a solid steady reading. Dana, assuming the next VVR that I just ordered is working (which i'me sure it...

Re: Vintage Sabbath

I too am a huge Sabbath fan but I got to say that I am extremely unhappy with the present state of the band. Being an old drummer, Bill Ward was a big influence on my youth when I started learning my instrument of choice. I remember being mesmorized seeing them play in 1970. Just totally blown away....

Re: VVR guidance in Tweed Champ

Remove the wire on the B+ out on the VVR and carefułly check the voltage at B+ out on the vvr board while adjusting the VVR pot. If it doesnt vary The voltage from full to 10% B+ then there is a problem with the VVR most likely the MOSFET. If you change the MOSFET make sure you also change the ...

Re: magnatone varistor

So on the Magnatone amps that have these, they are only used in the vibrato circuit? Is this is a true vibrato in that it causes actual pitch shift? I wonder what the guy that builds the Tonemaster™ Troubador 214 Evil Robot amps uses for varistors? You know the one that Phil X plays? He is one of t...

Re: magnatone varistor

They are Extinct with only a couple of guys who hoarded a few up years ago having any. I see a couple on ebay every now and then but they are ridiculously expensive. I found Workman brand equivalent a few years ago (1 pair only) in an old Electronic store. I built me a standalone Rev and Magnatone s...
