Very cool! 8) beautiful actually. I especially like the HSH body with the Tele headstock. Looks like a real rocker.

Re: Tell about your isolation projects

I'm working from home. I tell you I have never gotten so much work done so fast in my life! I never noticed how my typical day at work is a series of constant interruptions all day. In my spare time I am refinishing a faded brown Les Paul Studio model I picked up about 5 years ago. After removing th...

Nice demo. 8) I haven't heard Badfinger in a long time. May have to breakout the vinyl when my wife heads out.

Re: Speaker attachment

I had always used T-nuts for my cab builds. However, the last cab I built I used the Fender style shown above - reverse threaded screw and kept nut. I'll never use anything else.

Re: How to make a pro-looking 3-D amp badge?

You might think about etching metal for your badge. Here's a link with photos of etched pedal enclosures - reveals a 3-D like surface. Scroll down and you will see what I mean. Pretty cool I think.

Re: 6V6 1987 build sounds like a dying fuzz...

Yes, it certainly could be a bad solder joint. I spent a good while chasing down some hash in a recent amplifier build only to find a couple of weeks later it was the guitar wiring - I had recently replaced the pickups - bad solder joint. Before that I had issues as well, but it turned out to...

All good! But those chrome chassis straps are RUINING the amp. Black out.
Well I dig 'em. Very cool build. Perfect!

Re: Narrow Panel Style cab in Baby Blue

Well I finally got a chance to diagnose the hash, and it turned out it was the guitar  . Bridge P/U soldering was a little wonky. Took me a while to find it since I usually play with the toggle switch in the middle position, both P/Us out-of-phase. Once I placed the P/U in the neck position, p...

Re: Monkeymatic Lassen (Supro 24)

Looks very good. Did you roll your own chassis? The lower parts count - I'm betting you could probably shrink wrap that into say a Fender Frontman cabinet or similar SS practice amp.

Re: Narrow Panel Style cab in Baby Blue

Thank you for the kind comments. My son thinks I need a daphne blue strat w/maple neck to go with it. Still chasing the hash. What a mess; these terminal strips should be called criminal strips. I have no idea why I used them when I have several eyelet boards laying around  . I'll poke around ...
