Re: Express heater elevation.
for any heater elevation, i use a 220k and 47k 1w metal film, with a 47uf 100v across the 47k works perfect for everything up to about 450v, elevates the heaters nicely.

Re: Express heater elevation.
going to be dropping more voltage across that 1m that it is designed for unless you use a 5w.FUCHSAUDIO wrote: I suggest 1-M over 3.3-K (
could be mistaken, though. 350v is what most 1w metal/carbon film are rated at.

Re: Home recording
boss br864. cheap and easy to use. only bad thing, somewhat difficult to turn off the reverb for outboard line out (when i record from line in on puter..) and the mic inputs have no headroom.

Re: Your worst encounter with the wrong end of a soldering iron.
dropped a soldering iron, and picked it up by the warm end. Had a nice burn across my palm for a few weeks.
done it all though. solder on top of legs, almost took out an eye, etc. fun stuff.

i deal with them all the time. he can be a bit abrasive, Melvin, but he is a straight shooter, at least in my dealings with him. He is definitely one of those "Time is money" guys, like Steve at angela. bummer about your dealings. the bias cap, 10uf 100v, wont make one bit of difference what brand y...
