i snip[ the end, if the end is stripped, then i fold the wire at the end about and inch. then slide approproate size shrink wrap onto the folded wire, letting the fold stick out the end. shrink, and you are done. looks wicked, IMO.

it won't be anywhere near 202 watts across that 1k resistor. maybe for the entire supply.

cool beans!!! kinda fun to build that way, eh? question for you, i see a couple of 100k resistors hanging off a dual ganged pot (my guess is PPIMV). how did you connect the resistors to the wires? formed "J" hooks on each, put them together in tension, crimp, and then solder? best way to do that kin...

find someone with a tube tester and check them out. mandatory on the 6L6. i wouldnt worry too much about the 12ax7, they will either sound great, or not.

a great time!! got to meet alot of new people, and bunches of old friends as well. was unable to get out much, not until the end. was finally able to check out a few amps. Reasons were great!!!! they felt very nice, tons of gain available. was also ablke tio check out brownnote. didnt pkay on them, ...

you can find polystyrene as well. Ebay has some selection. every once in a while, you can find some small value polypropylene or polyester caps. what are you needing? you can also run 2 lower voltage caps in series to get a higher voltage, but smaller value I.E. 2 1000pf 250v caps in series wold be ...
