Re: new pacific transformer budget series called "red"
The situation makes me very grateful I thought ahead and bought extra sets of Allen's linecard part number Pacific TW transformers for all 3 models years ago.
However, not sure I need to build any more - have too many now!

DrRogersA,
Use the link in the first post. The spec sheet is linked in the listing for the TW output transformer. Says 7k5.

Re: Rocket mods
Definitely higher voltages, but should sound nice. Does it?
Have you played with bumping up the screen voltage a bit, or are you satisfied as-is?
Looks great!

Re: Canadian Rocket build
Looking great! Beautiful work. What Heyboer PT did you use? Did you measure power tube plate current and dissipation? If it is high your other voltages will get pulled down. You can adjust your different node voltages by changing the dropping string resistors. Sometimes tube selection will affect vo...

Re: Incandescent light bulb ban
Although this may be a general rant about the ban on incandescent bulbs, the common complaint within our community seems to be more centered around dim bulb testers. I recently built a new dim bulb tester/ammeter/voltmeter setup for working on high-power audio gear, using halogen bulbs. I can switch...

Re: Remember those non-stick turrets from ten years ago?
Yeah. I got those. Freakin' company said "you've had them 6 months and said nothing, so we can't help you." Never mind I had bought 250 of them and it takes time to use that many. I tried liquid flux to no avail. Even tried a wipe with muriatic acid. Some solder stuck, but it was miserable - they we...

Re: Debugging help: Brownface vibrolux edition
Hi Matoni, First, it's great you are taking an interest in such an arcane activity/hobby (tube amps), particularly as a younger person. It can be difficult to convey information or respond to what is being asked of one if they don't really have a basic understanding of the topic, and electronics (ev...

Would carbon comp resistors work for you? They are rated for high pulse, correct?

Well you now have all of the information you need, now that we all understand what you initially were asking. Forums are a great place to get help, support, ideas, and learn new things. But you also need to be willing to do some reading on your own, particularly when others provide you with valuable...

Re: Full wave vs full wave bridge rectifier?
So you don't want to learn the terminology but you want someone to tell you if it's safe/appropriate.
What's wrong with learning something you need to know? And why push back against people trying to help you?

Re: Full wave vs full wave bridge rectifier?
It might help you to look at the answer to your question graphically. I specified the following search terms to capture both full wave and full bridge rectifiers. See if this helps, then go from there. https://www.google.com/search?q=full+rectifier+schematic&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwio4KDW7dH-AhUGO0QIHYa...
