Do you know what those terminals are actually connected to? Do you have to connect an ammeter to them, or a voltmeter? I'm wondering if they're the usual thing, a one-ohm resistor on the cathode and read off the voltage drop across it (because mV = mA x 1). Those resistors can drift in value and giv...

The Leak Varislope preamp uses 2 x EF86 per channel. A hi-fi preamp, it uses switchable NFB and inline filters. I'm working on one at the moment, is why I thought of posting it. Guitar content, zero probably.

there's something about the free reed instrument that really troubles animals. Not so many spiders in the house, even, since I took up the harp. Perhaps that's how St Patrick banished all the snakes out of Ireland, maybe he used to play that Irish jiggery harmonica stuff. Poor creatures, they prefer...

Our cats leave the house if they see a guitar, but leave with extreme prejudice at the sight of a harmonica. My dog used to howl along with the harp, but that was his way of showing appreciation. Clearly.
