eminence EM12 is supposed to be a knock off. Warehouse makes one as well, WGS12L. weber, too. i say stick some type of neodymium in there.

or better yet, run a dual supply. one supply for the 6550, one for the preamp. simplest solution, IMO.

have never needed it, even running an open bottom rack chassis on top of a 4x12, super high gain, too.

I am always amazed at the dynamics of the Wreck. On my original and two clones if you really crank the amp hard and wack a chord you can actually hear the compression recoil after you stop playing. Even the hiss level actually jumps down then ramps up slow enough that you can actually hear it swell...

halve the bottom resistors of the voltage dividers between the gain stages. should allow a gain boost, when switched back to stock. or beef up the amount of gain, then do the same thing. i did this for one preamp, 3 stage, only on the 2nd gain stage voltage divider. worked pretty good. you could als...
