Re: Twin PA Valve Junior with Power Scaling
If he said, look it's not appropriete to post anything VJ related on this forum, I would be fine with that. If someone said, well the Dumbles and the TW's don't do power scaling, I would be fine with that too. Then I would say, what about regulating the filament power supply to midigate the line sa...

Re: Twin PA Valve Junior with Power Scaling
Gary, well, you've obviously got under Dana's skin here, which is VERY rare. He's been around for quite a while on this and many other forums, and I haven't seen him this fired up since, well, I don't know. I'm still trying to see the point of your original post. What was your premise? Did you think...

Re: First clips of the DumbleLite
I heard the TGP DumbleLite clips and it is an absolutely beautiful sounding Amp! I am starting a Dumble build now and that tone is exactly what I am going for (to me the RWB speaker sounded better and closer to the "Mystic Mile" Robben tone I am after...) BTW does RWB refer to the Eminence Red Whit...

Re: Hello Amp Garage! Southbay Ampworks introduction...
...constitutes copyright infringement... Nope, sorry. No copyright. The only thing that the Komet can claim is a trademark/service mark infringement. And that is true. But again, nobody here (or at least, in their right mind) is selling amps marked as "Komet" with the (I hope trademarked) Komet mon...

Re: Hello Amp Garage! Southbay Ampworks introduction...
So I am a bit confused by the logic here - By your own post: 2) Unless you have the amp being cloned right in front of you, you can't clone it 100%, because wiring is one thing. Wire lead dress, position and spacing of components on the board & chassis DO contribute to the tone. Dumble proved that t...

Re: The Amp Garage Wiki
I think it is a great idea as well. Omar, you may need to "seed" this a bit with some initial information, so others can get the basic idea. One problem is that a lot of the tech stuff out there is hard to post on a Wiki... for various reasons - copyrights, odd format, etc. For example, stuff from A...

Re: Choosing the right amp
Well, I had a gig in a club last night, that had high ceilings, and was med size, a bit larger than medium...Used the 18watt Trex, and guess what? Not loud enough. I had it dimed most of the night, and it was there, but, not quite enough...damn....in a smaller room it would work. I'm thinking about...

This is the one I have - works just fine!

The only problem that I have seen with this model is reading low pF value caps. Other than that it is up to all amp-related tasks.
