+1 on that.... :D

Re: PI input cap values...

I've been tweaking this amp for the past month, and I'm finally getting the tone where I like it...So far, I'm using 25u,1.5u,5u,5u for the cathode cap values, and .022, .01, and .005 for the coupling cap values. It has the skyliner tonestack with a 300p treble cap, and a .01 midcap. I set the OD in...

PI input cap values...

Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone had experimented with the PI input cap value? I just swapped in a .01 instead of the 0.02 in my non HRM with 6v6's. I have the skyliner stack with a .01 midcap, and the lower value PI input cap seems to help with trimming the bass response a bit. The amp seemed a l...

I'd really like to find a source for these........the RN65's really make an appreciable difference. I'd really like to hear how the higher wattage versions sound. :D

Re: What to tweak?

Teo, Thanks for the excellent explanation! I feel like it's making more sense now, but for the purpose of tweaking frequency response, what change would increase the bass rolloff frequency of the high pass portion of the filter? (If I wanted to decrease OD channel bass response) I know that this is ...

Re: What to tweak?

But he also said that he found something very interesting instead, and very clever, at the entrance of the OD stage, something you won't find in any other guitar tube amp, although it wasn't a brand new idea, it was common "radio" stuff. HAD genius just applied this idea in a different contest. Teo...

Re: OD Snubber values

Thanks for all the input guys,

I believe I'll start with 390's, and experiment from there....

Re: OD Snubber values

Thanks guys,

Has anyone experimented with maybe larger on v2a and smaller on v2b and vice versa? I wonder how this affects bite vs. smoothness? As I understand it , the first Od triode is where the even order "sweet" harmonics are. I was thinking 270-330pF on v2a then 390 on v2b maybe.......

OD Snubber values

What are the "Tweaked" values for the V2 snubbers in the Hybrid A? What does increasing or decreasing the values do tonally?

Dumblelator Schematic

Hi guys, I was curious as to who here has built a Dumblelator, and their experiences with them. I have the following schematic which Normster kindly posted a while back. Is this the correct circuit? If anyone has any experience with this one or another version please let me know. Since I've got an e...

Re: Most useful switches

Thanks guys,

Is the resistor between the series caps in the hybrid A mid boost supposed to be 4.7M or 4.7k?
