Re: who makes vox cabs these days?
Hey, I think I emailed him a while back and he said no. I'll try again but I'll ask him if he would be interested in doing it as a custom order sans grill cloth as I would put that on myself. R.G. gave me the okay to point out his files on the vox cabs so I'll see what he says. Considering what I am...

Re: who makes vox cabs these days?
Hello, Yeah, I get that. My thing is that I don't want their grill cloth on it though. I am using Vox's contempo chassis so it is kinda specific of a build. I just need someone, in the USA, who can do the cabinet design not necessarily the cabinet's pure aestetic. I probably should re-ask the cab bu...

who makes vox cabs these days?
Hello everyone, As my question in the subject line. Who makes Vox Cabs these days? Mather Cabs used to but sadly he passed away recently. I tried contacting Mojotone a while back but I never quite got the response that I was looking for and most independent cab builders don't want to make them. Now,...

Ok, I'll do that then. I'm almost done wiring up things as my parts came in.

Re: Foolish question possibly, but a fuse size on a UL715 power section
Hello, Okay, I think I might put in a 1.5 amp slow blow fuse. I figure if it pops then I'll put in a 2 amp and I'll consider it good. If it doesn't then I will at least have a margin of error and split the difference. I appreciate everyone's thoughts as I get closer to finishing this project. :-) De...

Foolish question possibly, but a fuse size on a UL715 power section
Hello everyone, I sent this question to RG but his spam/junk filter most likely ate my emails again so I'll kick it to the hive mind and see what all of you have to think about it, plus I'm sure RG will chime in. Now, I am building a Vox UL 715 amp using RG's pre-amp pcb board but the power section ...

Re: Tube effects loop
Hello, Quick question on this. I have Merlin's book so I went back to it to reread that page that was listed. Now he uses a 12ax7 in his version. Now, you want to use a 12dw7 which I know has one side as a 12au7 and the other side as a 12aX7. If I may ask as to why do you want to use a 12dw7 in plac...

Re: Kalamazoo Model 2 Chassis
Hey, Years ago on the Tellecaster Forum I did a clone of a Kalamazoo Model 2 build thread. Bit of an old thread and really ugly wiring but food for thought. It still works quite well although one of these years I'm going to do an update on it and clean it up so it hides my earlier build sins. :-) ht...

Re: Top-boost switch not working on Vox JMI Conqueror
Hello all, Don't forget, over at Vox Showroom he is letting people download a digitally cleaned up copy of many vox schematics. Here is the Url for it. http://voxshowroom.com/uk/amp/schematics_uk.html Fantastic job with the solution at hand. Great stuff. :-) Dennis ps Hey, RG, check your junk folder...

Re: Din 6 pin outs, where is the ground pin at?
Hello,
Yeah, after talking to a few people outside of this forum I'm going to take your advice and pick a pin and use it for ground after all. Thanks for the replies Maxkracht and Stevem, I truly appreciate it.

Din 6 pin outs, where is the ground pin at?
Hello all, This is one of those questions that stumps me to no end because it is probably so simple. I have a din 6 both male and female plug and I have absolutely no clue which is the ground pin on it. Could the hive mind let me know this as I am getting closer to finishing up my amp project but th...

Hello all, Been almost a month now, still no word from him. If anyone has an email address that might reach him please let him know that I did resend him an email. Maybe he is still getting over his stomach bug, not sure, or maybe his isp is really bad about email these days even though it was suppo...
