Yeap there is a difference i also think MC is a bit better

but it would be great if you could record the two trannies using 100% the same amp,tubes,rec setup etc. That would give a greater idea of their sonic differences.

weird question about OT wiring

Just hit my mind don't know if it is covered before...

can someone wire a push pull tranny like single ended by using the centre tap and the other two taps of the primary wired together?

will it harm the OT? will the impedance ratio go down by half? what about wattage rating?

i once had the same issue with a Marshall Super Lead Clone with PPIMV added it was the master volume pot which was brand new. first i thought it was a bad solder joint at the pot. Remelt everything but it kept going So changed the pot and voila. could also be one of your preamp volume pots or a capa...

yes i can tell from the clips i've heard that these are great amps but my concern is the difference in biasing of preamp tubes between the 70s and 90s preamp.
I've heard that the 97 model is voiced close to marshall sound and doesn't have the nice clean of the 77 model...
is this true?

wow wish i was in the u.s. to see and hear all these wonders specially the francesca...i've played a komet,i've made a low-watt twreck clone that i love but i've never heard the real thing...like omar said i'd love to see some pics and hear some clips or even better videoclips...
