Newbie: Which winding for relay?

Hi folks I’m doing my first relay channel switched amp and have a newbie question. I’m using a Tube Town 18W extended PT with: Primary: 0-120V / 0-110V-120V @ 50Hz Sec. 1: 600 V C.T. @ 100 mA Sec. 2: 6,3 V C.T. @ 3,2 A Sec. 3: 6,3 V @ 2A Sec. 4: 8V @ 2A I’ve got bits here to do a Dumble #124 style r...

Re: Find a place that produces laser engraved aluminum panels

Not the answer you are looking for but it may help. I recently took the laser engraving induction course at a local makerspace. They can source all kinds of material, and the machine can laser on 1.6mm aluminium and thinner. Maybe there is one near you and you can make your own? I’ve also used this ...

Re: 2nd gen chassis and pcb design?

I’ll explain why I prefer IEC although I totally get the desire for accuracy, plus we can always drill out the IEC socket. In Denmark, we have 3 different plug sockets widely in use (2 pin, 3 pin round and 3 pin slanted). Then there are the German (?) round with grounds on side, and French (?) round...

Beautiful work. How did you do the white lettering please, Ian? It has come out very sharp.

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout

One thing I'm sure, it's the second amp I make with a Two Rock type chiassis but it will be the last one......too small the space between the pots and the switches. If it helps to know, the NKK switches fit pretty well. The other part I needed to shop for was RCA sockets with a low profile to fit u...

Re: 2nd gen chassis and pcb design?

Looks really excellent Erwin - your SSS chassis are built like tanks and this seems to be a similar construction, right?

I’d vote for IEC

Re: JCM800 faceplate files?

Thanks again Clearances, sounds about right for the things I couldn’t work out. I had wondered if it was a machining trick to get better edges or something along those lines. I’ve just joined a local makerspace, and have a mandatory laser machine training session lined up in a couple weeks. After th...

Re: JCM800 faceplate files?

Thanks Dorrisant!

A newbie question. Why do you sometimes have dual circles for holes being cut out, please? Is one the cut, and the other an engraving?

Re: JCM800 faceplate files?

Thanks a million @neskor - Those are great. I'll rework mine.

Do you happen to know what fonts those are, please (JCM... and TREBLE etc)?
I don't have corel draw and they're outlines by the time they come in to AI.

Re: JCM800 faceplate files?

Here is what I have so far, which may help someone who stumbles upon this thread.
Fonts I opted for were Neue Haas Grotesk Text Pro for the "JCM..." and FranklinGothic URW Comp for the rest. I flatted text to outline in the PDF export though.

Cheers

Re: JCM800 faceplate files?

If you have something that preserves the vectors/shapes, that would be appreciated - Corel, autocad, SVG, pdf etc

Thanks!

Re: JCM800 faceplate files?

Thanks @dorrisant - that would be a help.
I'm using Adobe Illustrator which is new to me, but I think it would take any vector format.
