Re: 12V to 250V schematic? (Tube in pedal platform)
You’re not giving yourself much headroom with a limit of 500mA for your 12V supply. That pretty limits you to only using 12AX7s. 300mA of that is already allocated to the 2 heaters. So, if you are really optimistic and hope to get around %90 efficiency, that only leaves you with an availability of ...

Thank you! I know that for quite some time and love the application very much alongside with the newest update of LiveSpice for my circuit simulations. Before I used LTSpice and I didn't touch it afterwards....

Re: Real Time SPICE Simulation
Hi all LiveSpice got updated recentely and I tested it on my crappy core 2 duo machine with one of my tube overdrive pedal designs (3 high voltage triodes cascaded) into a clean fender princeton type amplifier in real time (about 5ms RTL) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTOPCtSGTMw I was so excited ...

Marcus, they wont - believe me! The Axe is pretty cool, but not even close to a real ampnorburybrook wrote:I do hope though that our lovely amps wont go the same way as a lot of the hardware sat in my studio.!!
For me it was such an experiment how close I can get to my favorite tones!

Re: Funktion of the Rock/Jazz switch ?
No. The R/J switch changes the risistor/capacitor network of the tonestack. The effect is a more hifi balanced sound and a significant loss of volume when the jazz mode is engaged. The switch (relay) that bypasses the tonestack is called "preamp boost" (PAB) and it is omited in your schematic. Lars...

Re: Fender Champ 600 talk
Hey Mark Make sure the power tube runs at correct bias. Most of these little amps based on legendary models using cathode bias, running much too hot. Biasing correctly also takes out the nasty hum. If you don't like the raspy nasty tone add a 1nF capacitor parallel to the 220k resistor to ground bef...

Re: Just finished a 102 build, some questions
Hi, I mostly add a simple cut off filter (250k pot and 2.2 or 3.3nF cap) behind the OD stages to tame the highs a bit down. Works pretty good! I make this a switchable mod along with some other tweaks on non-HRM designs. Pretty nice results as I can tell you. Other thing would be a small capacitor b...

Re: What makes Dumble style amp sound better?
6. Another trick is 4 ohm OT secondary setting into an 8 ohm speaker. I do this the other way around with great results aka a 4ohm load on the 8ohm secondary setting of the OT- it tames the saturation effects of the higher driven output section and create a bit more clarity and definition. This is ...

Re: Pacosipulami Overdrive Mini
Any chance that you have some sound clips without the AXE FX II ? With respect, 10thtx The AF2 only does the cabinet simulation and reverb in the clip above, since I can't make loud noises in my rental apartment ..... ;) that's why I build myself a reactive loadbox, so the complex frequency-depende...
