Re: Another Small Special build with a twist
Thank you all for the good words. I've added couple of pictures above (the flickr link can be used to view larger sized ones). To be honest, I was pretty surprised at the cranked tone as well. Thought it will be clean amp :) I tried a bunch of pedals in front of it and so far couple of favourites - ...

Another Small Special build with a twist
Branching out from the excellent Small Special thread of Jelle here is my build. Although I built quite a few stomp boxes, this is only my second amp build after a 5E3 kit (which is one of my favorite amps now, btw), so bear with me, I am still trying to make it in baby steps :) A little bit of the ...

Re: Small Special
Thank you all. Then I'll open a new thread when I get to a computer tomorrow and post what I have ( including my poor playing :) ). Lovetone- I used 500kA as per the schematic. Re: Small Special
I've just completed the build of this one (a 50W version) and can confirm that this is an amazingly great sounding amplifier. What stroke me, since it has been mentioned quite a few times that this is a clean amp, is that when cranked Vol and Level/Master at 3/4 it does have nice and juicy overdrive...

Re: Effect Pedal building
It already has been released and it is called Klon KTR. Just do a Google search on it.
Apparently, it is a SMD design now and being built by a third party, but Bill Finnegan (The Klon designer) says it does sound the same and he spent few years in designing it to ensure so.

Some time reader, first time poster
What chassis can be used for this one? I can order a 483 mmx170 mmx65 mm (roughly 19x7x2.6 in inches) one pretty cheap here.
Will this be alright?
