Re: how is this speaker/amp cabinet tolexed?
I first attached the wooden bar to the baffle with screws and glue. Then I attached bars of grille frame (if it is provided by the design, as in my pictures) and then installed the grill cloth. I must draw your attention to the fact that I fixing the grill only on the sides of the baffle. I do not b...

Re: how is this speaker/amp cabinet tolexed?
I think it's done as at the classic tweed cabinets - grill set directly on baffle. The front panel of this cabinet is thick enough, and the baffle can be fixed in it by screws or with T-nuts. Or you can use wooden bar on the sides for clamping baffle to the front panel, as was done in Marshall cabs.

Re: how is this speaker/amp cabinet tolexed?
If you're asking about gluing and cutting the TOLEX on the side surfaces, then I think there's only one way - just like it was done on old tweed fenders

Re: how is this speaker/amp cabinet tolexed?
Hello Marcus, I think there are two ways. The first method is to use a tolex without a fabric base or locally removed fabric base. As the same exists tolex with elastic base. Similar materials are used in the manufacture of soft furniture. The second method is the local heating of the tolex when pul...

Re: Footswitch-able FET Boost
Thanks for the answers. I was kind of thinking about possible problems. Most likely I'm using zener as a protection against accidental voltage.

Re: Footswitch-able FET Boost
Martin tell me please, if I want to use in this place some kind of booster, like the Katana or the EP, how to power it? Is it possible to use a resistor divider as in the FET diagram (possibly with a voltage regulators), or it is desirable to use an additional source?

Re: D-style head cabinet and bisquit joinery
When I build my cabinets I use a straight router bits for making slots and ledges on the boards. This helps to accurately position all of the boards together. For primary fixation and compression the panels when gluing I use the screws as a temporary method. After fixing glue, I remove the screws an...

I would advise to install additional cross bars on the sidewalls. It facilitates installation and removal of chassis.
